fairness has nothing to do with the ins and outs of daily life
nothings fair
nothings just
yet despite these handicaps and disadvantages
we are expected to wheel or crutch along
ride through the hard times to surf atop the good
but the storm is getting stronger
even the tides now work against me
and pretty soon my board may just abandon me
and i will wash ashore
left off worse than before
and, whether im lying or not is up to you,
proclaim it the best time ive ever had
