The Riddler

My hands sing for you

They pause on page

Wringing out mysteries of my mind

In the night

My heart grows loud

Blood flows black and stains the sheets

I kneel before the king of beasts

Wings large and sharp

A woman’s face completes the ensemble

Fighting

Grasping in darkness

These riddles elude my every advance

Meeting again with my own ignorance

While her paw taps the marble pedestal
