Trapped Mind

The most dangerous of his kind,

He walks with a trapped mind.

Furiously fighting to break this bind,

He always takes his time.

He speaks to all these people,

But everything comes out in rhymes.

He’s a grown man in his prime,

A young kid wiser before his time.

He can tear you apart with words,

Without a sound ever being heard.

The way that he writes is absurd,

He silences the crowd with a single word.

Skeptics become convinced,

Fans become more intense.

Critics become his fans,

And fans become his friends.

And once the shows commenced,

And he’s alone again,

He starts to drift off- In a world that never ends.

This is where he thinks,

and his words come together.

Everytime it gets better,

As he forms words with letters.

Tomorrow is another day,

He lives his life that way.

He can’t worry about the future,

Unless he can make it through today.

He drifts off in sleep thinking about his time,

Trying to make more rhymes.

Welcome to his world,

A man with a trapped mind.
