I Am
No one can judge me, no one can be me, no one can see who I am,
Only I can do that to my self, I am my own best friend.
When I look in the mirror I see my self, your reflection isn’t there,
Your opinion has no affect on me, I really do not care.
I’m me, I’m real, I am the only person I trust,
I care not what you see when you look at me, so please say what you must.
Your words are voiceless they have no sound they do not penetrate my ears,
I see you, sense you, hear you not I know not when you are near.
Your presence to me is useless, your words to me are like trash,
I bag them up, throw them away, don’t give them to me unless I ask.
You try and try uselessly to make me succumb to your words,
But you are not aware that your voice is not being heard.
My mind is closed to your defamating thoughts you need not say anymore,
You speak for nothing, you are not acknowledged, you have become a bore.
You will never get me down, never belittle me, and never lower my pride,
I am me, you are not, so please shut up and step aside.
