Big Words
Big words and expanded vocabulary- Is this what makes you good,
Yea, it looks nice on paper- But your thoughts aren't understood.
You can call it ignorance- But us common folk don't prefer it,
Your style is your style- But I'd rather simpler wording.
I can use those bigger words- But to whom does it appeal?
The upperclass and educated?- Well lets just say "I'm keeping it real".
Take that how you may- If you're offended then I meant it.
But the audience I'm going after- Doesn't need me to sound smart,
My words are big enough- Because their filled with emotions from my heart.
Packed with my feelings- Seemingly about to burst,
My message is percieved- Because they understand my words.
My vocabulary is extensive- I used to read the dictionary,
But I choose to paint pictures- Verbally playing pictionary.
You want to get your point across- But to understand it, you'd need a degree,
Use your intelligence more wisely- Your big words don't impress me.
They don't even address me- All they do is stress me,
It's like you want to test me- Or even mess with me.
Like I said- Your style is your style- Do what you like,
But your words are useless- If we can't understand what you write.
