There are moments

Had I the power

To halt the minute

And freeze the hour

When I'd frame your face

Within my hands

And slow the pace

Of our life's dance

My magic wand

Against the sky

Would stop the sun

From going by

Becalm the wind

And water's wave

So that our time

Could all be saved

But isn't life

Without a pace

Like a run

Without a race?

A fight sublime

Without emotion?

What is time

Without the motion?

Author's Notes/Comments:

Life (and time) is so precious precisely because it wasn't meant to last. Enjoy it while you can!
