From The Shadows I Came

Conception

Awakening

Birth

Now, placed here on this earth, I am branded a name and abandoned to aimlessly wonder a prepaved road.

Evolving from first crawls to first walks, I lift my head to see utter darkness

Such darkness that opening and shutting my eyes are indistinguishable, useless, for a shadow, a silhouette, overcasting my path ahead

I continue on to aimlessly wonder this road in the dark

Time continues on

And morphing into manmood, the still forever-eclipsing shadow spans in all directions

All horizions

Everywere within eye's sight

Nevertheless, I continue to aimlessly wonder my own treacherous path, my own road to forfill my destiny to live on

Then the unforgiving darkness begins to retreat from beneath my feet

The end of the shadow begins to take shape

-a silhouettistic human-like figure

-a human

-male

And now, the surrounding surges of beautiful light fills my young eyes

And for once, my path, my road is finally clear to me

And now, I gaze downward and I see, at long last, I can finally see my own shadow...

Author's Notes/Comments:

This is another one of my first poems. Surprisingly, its about trying to live a productive life knowing that my father was/is a failure...
