Through All Eternity

When the mighty oceans dry up

and the sky has lost its blue,

and the mountains and the rivers

disappear beyond our view,

When the rainbow's lost its color

and all birds have flown away,

and the wind no longer whispers

in the trees along the bay...

When the forests stop their growing

and their shadows cast no more,

and rain has stopped its falling

and the sand has left its shore,

When flowers in their gardens

and lillies in their fields

begin to wilt and wither

and their seeds no longer yield...

When the grass is all through growing

and the sun no longer shines,

and the moonlight's lost its glimmer

on the pebbles neath the pines,

When we see a band of angels

approaching from afar,

and we hear their golden voices

as they wing down from a star...

When we know the end is coming

and our time is drawing near,

I'll be there to say, "I love you,"

and my words will be sincere.

And where e're the good Lord takes you,

I hope I'll follow thee,

for my love for you endureth,

through all eternity...
