When you think of someone dying,
You think of someone old.
You never tend to realize
The stories left untold.
Everyday after school,
You tell your friends "goodbye."
You say "I'll see you tomorrow."
Never thinking they could die.
Although some didn't know him,
Others knew him well.
Everyone loved Jerimy Brown.
It was obvious, you could tell.
Jerimy was athletic,
Part of a winning team.
2000 State Champions.
They fulfilled their dream.
Then the unthinkable happened.
Coming home one day,
Jerimy was in an accident
That took his life away.
The students came to school
Crying all day long.
They couldn't believe what happened.
Jerimy was gone.
The students at Sonora High
Learned this lesson taught.
Don't take things for granted,
Be happy with what you've got.
