that our futures will be bright
but they can't see that far
with nothing but sight
alcoholics and drug-addicts
make up half of our class
more and more students won't graduate
because they couldn't pass
are the expectations too high?
or what could have changed?
are we really the generation
that will run this country one day?
the society we're living in
only seems to grow worse
the role models we have to look up to
are mostly players and whores
what will we become
if this is where we're at now
our generation needs to change
we just don't know how
