Poems as i stand here on this rainy day
wishing u where here to stay.
as i stare into the heavens high,
knowing in my heart is is shy.
Not knowing what to say,
feeling this strange full grey.
the barrier that has wrapped me tight,
knowing that this is my terrible blight.
i reach my hand out into the air,
as my heart says this lonely prayer.
lightning strikes and thunder roars,
i shed a tear as my heart can no longer soar.
i share this pain of a burdened heart,
so maybe the healing one day will start.
as i leave this lonely bay,
my heart yearns to stay.
I search this world for one's true love,
so maybe my heart can be as a dove.
through thick and thin an high and low,
as the world continues this i do know.
i will never stop in my search for her,
for those feelings that she can stir.
to free a bound heart shackled in chains,
to lift these ever growing pains.
