i guess i'd rather fall asleep

as the disciples slept like a flock of sheep

the night their best friend in blo(od did cry

instead of prayer they closed their eyes



for sometimes when sorrow does come

we want to get away and run

but honestly that's what He's for

He understands because He first did bore



Lord help us please to understand

just what is of a reaching hand

for in this hour, this walk, this life

let us not sleep through the darkest nights



it is for You we fight.
