+ 2ND POEMS: Poems For David, The Young Shepherd, Who Loved Prince Jonathan, 2 [Repost]

[after 2 Sanuel 1:26]

He said, "I love you, my Beloved, my Jonathan;

"I admired your love for me, a love surpassing

"even the love of women; ours, a great superlative one

"affection as deep as the sky in which stars are amassing."

Author's Notes/Comments:

From acquaintances to friends; from friends to best friends; from best friends to boyfriends; from boyfriends to lovers; and then from earth to Heaven, each in his time, called into the timelessness of the ages of ages, Heaven, to know, first hand, that the circumstantial separations of time and place no longer divide them or keep them apart.

Befitting their Faith in the God of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob; the God Who would be manifested in the Person and Presence of David's Descendant, Jesus of Nazareth, the Son of God, our Savior and the Savior of David and Jonathan; the verb in the first line is in present, not past, tense---as death would not have stopped or stifled David's First Love for Jonathan.
