Krupskaya told her husband, Lenin, that his voiced objection

to a "heroic" statue of him for comrades to view

was a good gesture to him that the Party wished to do---
perhaps, also, his last hope for some sort of an erection.

Snippet of a domestic conversation between Lenin and his wife, Krupskaya.  Of course, given her distinctice "horse face," certain of his difficulties might be explained by that.
