Another day, another picture taken
This little girl, can you see the pain?
The light in her eyes gets brighter
All the torment slowly begins heal
Her smile seems genuine again today
Laughing in to the phone she clutches
She blushes sheepishly. Undetected.
His voice sooths her tired mind
Thoughts of his touch warm her body
He makes her feel special inside
Unlike ever before, this is new to her
She smiles more and more these days
Instilling hope into her broken heart
She sighs replacing the phone to the wall
Amazed at how she is now feeling
Lying back on the pillow, eyes closed
She thinks: Could this actually be real?
