My Final Hope
I stand before you with nothing to hide
Awaiting the day true love and I collide
I've walked a road that many have tried
I've cried the same tears many have cried
Some how I still manage to stand up tall
I'm so terrified that I might again fall
But still I allow the sun to embrace me
Take me, mind, body and soul, completely
I cannot hold back any longer what I feel
So intense, so pure. Is it even real?
This picture I've got painted in my mind?
Will it lead me closer to what I want to find
It seems only like a fools step in the dark
Foolish to take a leap only to miss the mark
Willing, I take the first steps to a new day
Taking the time to go about it the right way
But is it worth it? To dangle from loves rope?
One can dream, for it is my last and only hope.
