Painted lady, sat on a bench in the early dawn.
Tears smeared her eyes,she felt fragile as if a fawn.
She leaned over, her salt hitting the koi pond.
Of the scent of cherry blossom, she was most fond.

Her face pale as death.
She takes rasps of breath.
With skin so milky white.
She was his new-wave geisha.
They danced away the night.
Her lips so sultry red.
Masked the ghosts inside her head.

She portrayed the unrealistic.
Oh what a colourful shell!
Far from narcissistic,
drowned in depressions well.
Electro-clash warrior revived her.
Caught her whenever she fell.

Product of a shattered dynasty.
Her inner pain was a tidal wave of misery.
Doll-faced lady controlled the tides.
Cause' like the moon she also had a dark side.
She played synth pop and new wave.
With performance she let it all go.
but like the wind she still felt empty and shallow.

Her mask a mess.
Makeup running down her dress.
Only the Koi are there for comfort.
She missed her techno samuri.
Remembers how he held her hand.
Before he went off to conquer foreign land.
But like Mount. Fuji, she'll thrive and be strong.
While the garden birds sing there song.

She'll wait for him to return.
She'll make ceremonial offerings to the gods.
Incense she shall burn..drowning out the scent of cherry blossom.
Of the cherry blossom she was most fond.
Cause this scent is what she and her samuri first kissed upon.
With the scent brings joy also pain, her wait will be long.
Sometimes Its better to forget then to dwell on.

New-wave geisha sits alone.
waiting for her warrior to come home.
She sighs, breaths in the nightly dusk air.
Her face a shocking contrast of her despair.
Picks a single lotus and places it in her hair.
Tear-stained lady retires to her paper walled house.
Missing her Samuri , her future spouse.
Removes the varnish from her face.
Looking in the mirror without the makeup,
she feels so out of place.
Shes at her most vunerable state.
Slips her silk kimono on.
Yearning for her love.
reminiscing with the scent of Cherry blossom.
