I lay down in the dampened sand
A little too close to the waves
I wish to feel a helping hand
And maybe the sun's rays
Daylight makes way for the evening star
The tide is slowly rising
I hope to travel very far
Yet love is still depriving
Back and forth the waves I feel
I tense as they get near
Go on I say, do what you will
And then I have no fear
Dreams sweet dreams take over til morn
I awaken all anew
Then upon myself I shall adorn
The refreshing morning dew
My kindred spirit has gone with the tide
When shall we meet again
The memories are deep inside
I'm ready to begin
