No one to wipe away the tears anymore
Alone she sits, in a world gone dark surrounded by the chill
The weight of the world upon her shoulders
Mind racing, always going at top speed
She's bright, she's quick witted and quick to come to help others
She loves her life, despite the sorrow
She's always been a fighter
Having to prove from very young that she can get through
She will always carry on
It's dark, and again she's alone
Life has hardened her
She can't seem to let him in
He pushes hard , and tries so hard
Yet he doesn't see , he's the focus
She supports him when his world is dark
She has great shoulders to cry on
She carries heavy loads
But can always laugh
Bring a smile to the face of so many that are hurting
Most don't see the darkness that lingers in her eyes
She cries herself to sleep
She wakes in the darkest hour chilled and alone
Messages from him, why aren't you answering me ?
His world has gone dark, he needs her to see
She can't , her eyes are clouded not able to help
Unable to provide comfort in his time of need
He asks her why, is saddened he's alone
She's always been there , always been able to see
He doesn't understand , why she's pushing him away
Crying at him that she can't anymore
The burden is to great .... She needs something more
He states I give you everything
Her eyes go blank, she's slammed the door
She leaves him with words he doesn't grasp, but that answer what he's searching for
' I have no one, no one to wipe away the tears anymore '
She will be all right , after all she was born to fight
But in the darkness of this night, she stops the fight
She's come to know
She has no one to wipe away the tears anymore
So she cries in the darkness of the night
No longer able to fight
In the morning she will be drawn to the light
Able to resume the fight , no longer over taken by the darkness in the night
Alone she will carry on
For there is no one to wipe away the tears anymore
