From where I stood

I could see her there

She was sad

And I might have cared

But I could not be

Seen by her

A tear in her eye

A chill, I knew she was scared



A chill ran up and down my spine

I knew I had lost Just what was mine

But now that it's all gone

I don't feel that So Far Gone



I thought I knew

Just where I was going

But still till this day

I'll never be knowing

One night reminded me

Of you all that day

And I knew at that moment

I had to watch you slip away
