Just words

Lost Love

If only yesterday I had the words to change the outcome of today.

It must have been the weather that made me chill that night.

What fight has it become to see us separate from one another?

I spared my last breath of words to you that there can not be any other.

Do you remember when I said “I love you?”

I was filled with joy that I even told your mother.

The sight of one another made us lovers.

Exchanges of words embraced us.

Today, the presence of us is nonexistence.

Our words to one another are forbidden.

Why do we let words interfere with our instincts?
