Lost Life; Eternal Strife

The love we shared, supposed to last ‘til death,

It lives in my heart even though you’re gone,

The vows we made, lost with your dying breath,

Eternal night has come, the day is done.

This love that will last, began long ago,

This thought of the past leaves promise behind,

A lifeless future awaits, this I know,

For I cannot erase you from my mind.

I’m told to move on, but I don’t want to,

The thought of loving again is painful,

Without you I don’t know what I’m to do,

What is to become of my yearning soul?
