Once there was an innocent soul

Scarred and weak, about to fall

Been alone and lost in the world

Been travelling in a long rocky road

Once there was a bored soul

Strong, charming and playful

Been mindlessly wandering around

A lonely and lost one he'd found

These two souls travelled together

Once bored, now filled with laughter

Once lost, now found direction

Once weak, now got protection

Yet the journey didn't last long

They reached the crossroads too soon

Each had chosen a path to go on

Both only had memories to reckon

To their separate ways, they moved on

Lived different worlds on their own

Yet from those memories, love has grown

Never thought those were seeds all along

Now a thousand miles apart

Love grew in each other's heart

Missing, longing every single day

But they chose to ignore it in any way

Even with love blocking their track

No one dared to go back

For to their paths they should go

'Coz there lies the future they must pursue

Tears fell day by day

Watching their love die away

Though hearts were broken and crumpled

Still their lives went on as it should

Over the years, poems have been written

Full of words left unspoken

Been a long time yet one is still in pain

For deep inside, that love remains
