I know you mean well,

And I know you care for me,

But that's not what I need right now,

I need Dad here with me.

I know that he is gone,

And his spirit still lives on,

But you don't seem to understand,

He's more than family.

He is my dad and he can't be replaced,

I know I'm just a runner in a losing race,

But right now I'm just saddened cause he's not around,

So please don't try to understand, let me wear my frown.

I'm sorry I upset you,

But you're upsetting me,

I don't think your getting it,

How much he means to me.

No, I don't wanna loose,

I lost enough today,

So, when your sleeping in your bed,

Please get on your knees and pray.

Cause there is some stuff I wanted to say to him,

I can never say,

And without that I am nothing in this world,

But a girl without a dad.

If I had told him,

What I wanted him to know,

I wouldn't be seating here crying,

Trying to stop the woe.
