A Bit of She

Quite some time, close to a year

It's been a bit since I've spoken of the soft

Feelings I've lost, haven't quite recovered

But I am getting a little lonely for

What of she? Who hardly sees

She who hardly notices

I don't pine, no connection's befallen

But she is so very striking

A bit of wonder as she sends a glance

Occasional stares, a curious smirk

The meaning eludes me, what of it, what have you?

What have you done to me?

Within itself, significance

Maybe it'll motivate me

To be for the sake of believing

In something better later on

And I am, here I stand

Doing all I can, to keep up the maintenance

I hold the keys but maybe she can turn them

Maybe she'll prevent the rust

My gazes are polite, or maybe just discreet

I hope you understand their intentions

You're too damn pretty for me to ignore you

I've got to enjoy you in the simplest sense

Until we meet again, if we ever meet again

I'll be happy to escort you

Be ready, dare chosen, for I am quite taken

And I doubt I'll be able to leave you be.

Author's Notes/Comments:

I think I'm ready.
