Palace

Here we analyze,

A boy

Who chanced upon himself

And was left without a choice

Exhausted in his sleep

Tired of his boredom

He craves a point of view

That forces his away

To be part of one whole

He's obligated to this

All the while wishing

He could be his own

Efforts set aside

His body grows heavy

He keeps moving slower

And falls out of practice

The circle that surrounds him

It's shattered over time

Everybody scatters

Everybody's gone

He creates a home

That he'll never see

Miles facing inward

Devoured by the skies

And upon steady impact

He'll knock out all his teeth

But he'll still smile so wide

Because he can't feel anything at all.

Author's Notes/Comments:

At least it's a bit more graceful this time around.
