Don't Mind Me

Sit at the corner

A hollow feeling grows colder

My hands crippled and bent

Devoid of movement in this time I've spent

My eyes are dead to you

The feeling once shown hidden

In miles of unspent restoration

My heart beats from time to time

My throat burdened by the virus

That I refuse to release

So I no longer speak to you

Please, don't mind me

Don't take your eyes off your business

You need not have concern

Continue your life undisturbed

My wasted life shouldn't interrupt yours

In my self made fortress

Of memory and ruin

I watch the skies evolve

And listen to the world change

I'm still alive

And I even smile here and there

Not at any one moment

I just remember things

Things you wouldn't understand

It's fine now that I'm here

I'm sorry if I am taking your space

I will move if you wish

Just please don't let me bother you

My purpose here has no definition

But do you need any assistance?

I'd be happy to help you.
