Can you see my true face?

Can you see behind my mask?

I cover myself with a veil of lace.

Will you discover the real me?

I hide from you

and everyone around me.

I want to tell you what's true

but I am so scared.

All that anyone can see

is what I want to show.

Look at her, look at me.

Is there really a difference?

We just have different ways

Of showing how we're feeling.

I don't care what anyone says;

Everyone hurts once in awhile.

This is how I show what *I* feel.

So don't say a word.

I'm not depressing and my lips I don't seal.

I just want to hide from everyone.
