Isn't it strange

how years can pass

but feelings once felt,

feelings you believed

were gone,

can still linger

in your heart?

Isn't it strange

how you can still tremble

at just the sight

of the one you loved

once, long ago?

Isn't it strange

how you can still love

your first love,

still long for them

in all the ways

you did before?

Isn't it strange?

Maybe it is,

but everything I once felt

so long ago

still resides

deep inside of me.
