If i strive to use the feelings i have for you,

to become a rock star to see more of you,

would you accept the tickets and come?

or scalp em at the entrance and make me feel dumb?

if i were to look you in your eyes on New Years,

and with guitar in hand play out my wishes and fears,

would you shed a tear, walk up to me and kiss me?

or just say it was nice, but you don't miss me,

if i were to shed these pounds and fix what's missing,

would it tempt you any more to try kissing?

would you say i look good, you're mighty surprised?

or just say good for you, even if you lie,

if i were to speak with my heart, mean that i love you,

would the truth even be enough to?

would you just say sorry, we had our run?

or just walk out of the music before i'm even done.
