Promised You Were Nothing

Folder:
December 2011

Lessons learned and a wildfire lost in the arctic,
brick by brick she cleared my wall so quick,
hard to admit that now it's hard to hang on,
it's hard not to call your phone, come on,

out of my live that keeps me improving,
hurt my heart enough and till you i'm approving,
i was in a mud pit and you were once the rope,
pulling me into more danger throwing me down a slope,

i hope you remember my name and the back of the cab,
sure i kissed your neck only meant it as a jab,
why'd you give me this scab you promised me better,
you promised you were nothing like the other go getters,

apparently breaking bonds is deep in your blood,
and you'll never know what my feeling was,
cause you proved to be just like all my past upsets,
it's best if you just leave me with all my regrets.
