a million and one times I've tried

it cannot be shifted until I have fled
the piercing crty that comes from my heart
longs to feel your love again
the wonderful time we spent together
letting our sorrowful days go drifting by
the most beautiful moments of my life
were spent in your arms
playing at the park like we were little children
yet so young
but so old in many ways
the glimpse of paradise I gave away
all for something I didn't really
want to be apart of
and now I sit here in my sorry state
wanting to be with you again
how pathetic I feel
