Q1. Choose a topic for your class and write one aim and 4 objectives for each of the levels mentioned in Bloom’s taxonomy.

 

Answer:

 

Topic: 3D Vector analysis

 

Aim:

After completing the session (80 min class) the learners should be able to identify and solve the problems regarding the 3D vectors in the plane and their detailed application and coherence with the Cartesian equations.

 

 

The objectives are mentioned below according to the Bloom’s taxonomy-

 

knowledge:  

a.    

Define vector.

b.   

Say to difference between vector and scalar quantity.

c.    

Give a realistic example of vector.

d.   

Mention two points, why studying vector is important.

 

Comprehension:

 

a.    

Represent a column vector with unit vectors.

b.   

Explain how to find the magnitude of a vector.

c.    

Why Pythagoras’ formula is important in vector analysis?

d.   

What is the significance of the cross product?

 

Application:

 

a.    

Find the dot product of the two vectors mentioned in the board.

b.   

Correlate the dot product with ‘work’ you studied in physics.

c.    

Get the acute angles between the two vectors.

d.   

 Identify why and how the airplane’s velocity is affected by the air velocity. 

Analysis:

a.    

Analyze torque in a moving rotor.

b.   

Compare the resemblance between Cartesian equation and vector equation when you find the perpendicular distance from a point to a line.

c.    

Mention the reason, why the coefficient vector of a plane is always normal to the surface?

d.   

Identify critically the difference between a vector equation a line and a vector formed between two points.

 

Syntheis:

a.    

Make a vector equation with the Cartesian co-ordinates mentioned.

b.   

Form a vector equation of the top surface of the 3D object given to your group.

c.    

Generalize the divergence and curl equation to simple algebra.

d.   

Modify the scalar field to a vector field by using gradiant and then justify its significance.

 

Evaluation:

a.    

Evaluate the application of curl in weather forecasting.

b.   

Explain with mentioning the reasons that, why aerodynamics study is impossible without vector analysis.

c.    

With proper sketching, mention all the possibilities of having a torque in the whirlpool of the see.

d.   

In problem solving of the 3D planes, which one will you prefer? Cartesian or vector equation? Explain why.
