Final Expedition

A day everyone alive waits for, packed

With fear in their hearts from their lord

Has come to me without a contract

And was something that couldn’t be ignored

Screaming from the bottom of my heart

Feeling that the whole world is able to hear me

Wanting them to rescue me, and not depart

And go to the new world, with my key

The hardship I went through, while entering

Made me feel that I am suffering alone

Having myself in the dark coffin centering

With mud and dirt, made me feel on my own

Wondering what will be coming up next

And when the final day is arriving,

Also if the new world is free, with no complex

And if everyone makes it and be surviving

Author's Notes/Comments:

In this poem a dead person is talking, he is showing how it feels when entering the grave, and the things he was thinking of.  I wrote this poem because I wanted to express my feelings and ideas of how a dead person may feel while entering and how they might think.  It also shows that I always think about death and when it may come to me, and I want to be prepared for it when it comes by collecting ideas on how it may be.
