The Room

Everyday it is the same

Hanging out in the room

Never telling the “real” secrets

Plotting her own doom

Knowing it may soon be over

The tears, the pain, her life

She can’t go on like this

Causing people strife

There are a few she trusts

But will they listen true

If they truly got inside her head

What exactly would they do?

They know about things on the surface

The abuse, the guys and food

But if she just explode

Would they think her rude?

Her life is plagued by SI

And thoughts of suicide

She has tried lately an awful lot

That is some of what she will hide

She wishes she had a friend

A person to catch her tears

Someone to ward the monsters

And chase away her fears

So for now she will sit here

All her thoughts will be inside

Maybe one day she will open up

And you will see what there is to hide
