I saw them again
two unsuspecting people
unknowingly created
such impact
in my life.
they walk hand in hand
gnarled hands clasping each other
those hands which once show
the beauty of youth.
age has dimmed their sights
but their eyes still shine
with the love and devotion
for each other.
the look they share
still carry the passion
even through the passage
of time.
the depth of this spectacle
pierced right into my heart
I couldn't do but wonder
what magic has brought them together?
an extraordinary sight
one exceptional couple
a love so enduring.
"what are you looking at?"
someone asked
I smiled and answered,
"my future."
