I'm still looking at pictures of you

And pictures of us

Memories of all the things now lying in the past 

My mind is reminiscing

Full with the memories of us

That we walked away from

With tears we left it all 

Ashes to ashes dust to dust

Even metal eventually rusts

But love is supposed to prevail all

Pick you up when you fall

And I fell in love 

With you in the deepest way

But it wasn't enough

For you to want me to stay. 

It wasn't enough to fix the mess we made 

We just watched and allowed everything to fade 

We didn't fight for us we just fought each other

And look where we stand?

We stood in sinking sand

And now we stand miles apart 

Because we allowed the tide pull us in the dark 

We allowed too many moments to just pass us by

And now I just lay on the floor on the bed and everywhere 

Lost in our passions wondering f you still love me and if you still care

If there will ever come a time where we can try again

And what if there is a time we can?

Will we take the chance? 

Or will we even remember each other's face?

Will you ever think about me the way I do of you?

Will you ever love me the way I loved you?

Will you ever regret saying goodbye 

And will we stop let many more moments just pass us by

Because time is all we have but time doesn't last forever 

And I meant it when I said for always, and you promised me never

you promised me you love me, did you?

Because I still mean forever and always if you still do

So fight. Fight for you and for me and for us

Let's get to a better place and make something from this dust

because i don't want to see you just passing by

i want to be standing by your side until we die.
