Chubby infant - loving, trusting,
Centre of her universe.
Mama is life and sustenance.
Trusting toddler learning borders,
Daring much yet knowing that
Mommy is there, to run back to.
Knowing youngster stretching forth now
One foot home, the other out
Trusting Mom is there to catch her.
Insecure the adolescent
Aware of much yet testing more
Needs her mother, won't admit it.
Young woman, rejecting all now -
Remember your parent here.
I am always for you, daughter
But it seems
