I Do It
It's hot among the roses at mid-day
Not the best time to choose to mow the lawn.
What is said of 'mad dogs and English men?'
I guess I was just 'to the manor born'.
When something must done well, I do it
Without regard for any circumstance;
I get right at it and don't stop at all
With no distraction, not even a glance.
Sometimes it's probably not the best way
But at least I never forget my chore
And once it's done well, then I can relax
"Til like the lawn, it's time for an encore.
