His silvery laugh echoes
As he dashes through the house
With all the exuberance
Of a pup chasing a mouse.
Happily changing to skip
On fast alternating feet
A song bursts forth from his lips -
With a very lively beat.
It's Saturday! Saturday!
His whole body seems to sing
And now the whole family
Basks in the pure joy he brings.
