They Call Me

Farewell my earthly home.

Hast thou beenst kind to me?

I've travelled thy tossing oceans,

I've crossed thy briny sea.

I've fought to keep afloat,

I've tried to breast thy waves.

I have been dunked many a time,

Survived many wet graves.

Thou hast not granted much-

Not one favour in fact.

What good I've got I've worked hard  for

I'm basically intact.

Yet I grow weary now.

There is no need to roam.

I go soon to my true abode

Time and Nature call me home
