Lord, pleased send Your Light into my soul's lingering darkness;

dissipate the shadows their, with their leering starkness.

Your light, oh Lord, is always cause for elation,

and is always a ready source of spiritual inspiration,

and like it, the sun by day; and by night the stars in constellation.

Lord, I thank You for my soul's innate poverty,

for its flaws and unravels, and its huge capacity

for failure:  because, by them I feel the abundancy

of the Love with which You sought for me,
