+ 1ST POEMS: Yet This Final Measure, 01; Quo Vadis, DOMINE?
Quo Vadis, DOMINE?
I ask You, Lord Jesus, to hear me as I pray
that You lead me on the path You have for me today;
from which, I beg You, do not allow me to stray.
Guide me, thus, until I enter Your glorious Kingdom to stay.
Author's Notes/Comments:
The Latin phrase is from Early Christian legend, and means, "Where are you going, Lord?" Out of the profoundest respect, I capitalized the word for Lord in the poem's first line.
