Love, Who is God, declared this advice:
I desired mercy, and not sacrifice:
at the throne of Love, Who is God, mercy shall suffice---
shall ever suffice; mercy, without righteous reckoning;
mercy that is always, and eagerly, beckoning,
undaunted and unchanged by sin and death's hectoring.
Mercy, and not sacrifice . . .
to that the Holy Word of God testifies;
and this, more than all else, the haters despise.
