Much of my life has seemed like one of those quiet and mundane scandals;
and I am unworthy to even touch the lachet of Christ's sandals.
Yet, though I have stood before Him, my condition fractured and not whole,
He has not disdained to step barefoot into my needy soul;
Christ, the Maker of the stars, and the regnant Son of God,
yet aquainted with flaws, failures and foibles, searing grief,
saved me unto eternal life, and brought me unto SweetLeaf,
who, like Him, has entered my existence---gently and unshod.
