[after LXX Psalm 112:2; and Job 19:25-27 and 2 Timothy 1:12]
Let the name of the Lord be blessed, from this present time and for ever.
the Jesus prayer both night and day;
ten-, or twenty-fold, or even five score,
this prayer in plentiful multiplicity
even the midst of apparent dispair and dismay.
But to You, oh Lord, my Redeemer Who so effectively
saved my soul through Grace and merciful clemency,
to Whom I offer my Biblical poetry,
and my poems inspired by Orthodox Christian spirituality:
I have committed my Faith to You; and at the hour of my death
please grant that a prayer to You shall be on my final breath
(or, if I am not able due to incapacity.
let this poem be its substitution),
and immerse me, at my dying moment, with the profusion
of Your Love and Grace that will conduct me to Your Eternity.
