Not A Quartet, But Perhaps A Prelude

As upon time and space, we move in Heavenward direction,

we experience the joy (to some, a burden) of fellowship and connection---

sometimes fleeting and temporary, sometimes lasting in permanent,

based upon mutual courtesy, shared interests, or vital experience.

The Apostle instructed us to observe the protocols that are courtesy's;

although sometimes, despite best efforts, the insidious perfidies

blow in through the opened window---delivered by a seemingly lyrical breeze---

to become like a hirsute mold on the smooth surface of a cheddar cheese.

Author's Notes/Comments:

The title alludes to T. S. Eliot's supreme poem, Four Quartets.  The fifth line alludes to 1 Peter 3:8.
