I thank You, Lord Jesus, for the privilege of being a leaf

attached to You, the Bright And Morning Star, and the salvific Vine.

And though my remaining foliate season may be brief,

I am grateful for the comfort of Orthodox belief,

for the Faith . . . once delivered unto the saints (by Christ in Galilee)

without regard for worldly prestige (no matter how fine

its grounding.  The first in Christian History,

the Orthodox Faith has brought me to that firm embrace

provided by Your infinite. regnant Mercy and Grace

that fills the vast reservoirs that You created as time and space.
