Both born near the banks of rivers---

the Perfume and the Ottawa, and there raised:

your Homosexual monogamy deserves to be praised.

I think your commitment to Male to Male Love

must be a cosmic example preserved among the stars above

the prudes and haters---thugs who like to shove

their inane prejudices down our throats;

they are bestial in their rage, no better than old goats.

They are takers; you, in coupling, are Givers.

Vergil would have recognized your coupling in his Poetry;

and Basho, as well, perhaps in several Senryu.

And I, their most minor servant, offer your coupling these verses---

before the idea dissipates, and the rhyme pattern disperses.

I bring the finished poem with requisite humility:

and sincere good hopes for each, and the coupled both, of you too.
