I'm putting my heart on trial,

After all, it had no right;

To drag me into this thing called love,

And make me too weak to fight.



He gave me a Spanish rose,

It matched my cherry lipstick;

I know that we're just friends,

Or I'm just pesimistic.



Take my hand,

Let's run forever;

We will live free,

And die together.



Hold me close,

I want to feel your safe touch;

Forget what they say,

Because they worry too much.



Clutch my arm,

And say you'll never go;

Let's live the way we want,

And let our ignorance show.



Feel the wind,

Blowing through our hair;

Taste my lips,

And say that you care.



Watch me dance,

And hear me sing;

Let's swim in a river,

And forget everything.



To laugh without ending,

To look without shame;

To hold so tightly,

To never be the same.



To be heard when speaking,

To be understood when crying;

To trust a stranger,

To be innocent of lying.



Quiet,

This may be our only chance;

Be still,

In a moment we will dance...
